Since 1970, ModuTank Inc. has offered lined, modular storage tanks and secondary containment systems suitable for most hazardous liquid materials, sludge, potable water, chemical, fuel containment, seismic requirements and various treatment and containment needs.

Premium quality membrane liners compatible with most liquids handled by industry and for environmental applications are supplied with each of our tanks. They include XR-5, reinforced polyethylene, and reinforced polypropylene. Potable water grade liners meeting NSF61 requirements, as well as other liner materials, are also available.

Our one-piece liners, available in capacities from hundreds to a million gallons and more, are engineered and packaged for rapid installation by untrained workmen without the need for special tools or heavy handling equipment. Oversize liners, and those for special shapes, are easily field seamed. Typical installation consists of unrolling the liner, by hand, down the tank’s length, unfolding it outward across the tank and attaching it to the walls. Furthermore, all our tanks can be supplied with double liners for secondary containment. Double liners can also be fitted with a leak detection, collection and removal layer between the two liners.

ModuTank Inc. tanks will accept a wide variety of factory fabricated membrane liners, site-sealed liners and coated liners. Field-coated liners can be applied to assembled tanks in place of standard liners. The process consists of covering the tank’s walls and floor with a geotextile matrix and then spraying it with a polymer that forms a one-piece chemically resistant liner. This service is performed by independent contractors.

Floating covers, fabricated from the same membrane material as liners, are available as an option for creating totally enclosed systems. Covers buoyed up by floatation logs ride the fluid’s surface and create a practically vapor-tight enclosure.

ModuTank Inc. plastic lined tanks feature modular steel parts that rapidly bolt-together with hand tools by workmen following illustrated manuals. These plastic membrane lined tanks can be installed free-standing on level, compacted surfaces, or permanently anchor-bolted to concrete footings. Modularity assures a wide range of sizes and capacities. Furthermore, our flat panel tanks can be configured in square, rectangular or special shapes for irregular sites. Floating covers, steel covers, double liners, inlet and outlet fittings, leak detection, drains, vents and other ancillaries are available.
