components bolt together rapidly in hard-to-reach locations such
as basements, tunnels, upper floors, laboratories and utility
areas. Unique system for low-cost fluid handling offers permanent
or standby service indoors and out. In addition, VariTanks can
be easily installed and quickly disassembled for relocation or
storage.
Installation
Speed
Free-standing
VariTanks can be installed in as little as a half-a-day by two
workers using common hand tools. Little or no ground preparation
is needed.
Liners
Liners in 45 mil reinforced polypropylene, 30 mil reinforced XR-5,
potable water grade polypropylene, and industrial grade PVC are
available.
Leak
Detection Systems
Double
liner/leak detection systems are available.
Piping
Inlet
and outlet pipes can be positioned and installed as desired whether
through-the-wall with flange fittings, over-the-top, or through
the bottom. Fittings for these connection methods are also available.
Covers
Modular galvanized or stainless steel covers with or without access
hatches are available as options. Floating covers are also available.
General
Specifications
VariTanks
are constructed of 16 gauge G 90 galvanized steel wall panels,
3 x 2 x 1/4 steel angle support posts and rails, and high-strength
bolts and nuts. Prefabricated stainless steel tension cables are
included.
Special
Shapes
Varitanks
can be assembled into almost any shape with right angle corners
to meet your site or storage requirements.

Shapes
Virtually any shape utilizing right angles such as square,
rectangle, "S" - "L" - "X",
etc., can be assembled from VariTank's unique modular components.
This capability is especially useful for installations with
special flow requirements or irregularly shaped sites. |
Customized
Stainless Steel VariTanks
In harsh
environments, or where above ground, partially or totally
underground tanks are required, we offer 6'3" high VariTanks
fabricated from modular stainless steel components.Our 4'
high ComPakt tank is also available in stainless steel . Stainless
steel covers are available for both. Chemical resistant reinforced
membrane liners such as 30 mil XR-5 and 45 mil Polypropylene
can be specified, as well as through-the-wall and top piping
connections in stainless steel or PVC. Double liners with
non-penetrating leak detectors give protection functionally
equivalent to that of a tank with secondary containment. |
